PARTIAL DENTURES
Interim partials are designed to last roughly six to eight months. Beyond this, the patient’s gums will have changed, and the temporary appliance no longer fits as well as it should. At that point, it is time for a longer-lasting, more permanent solution. It is so important to be clear with patients at the onset of treatment that an interim partial is designed to last only a short period of time while a long-term solution can be prepared.
